As a former PSP owner tend to compare and really miss the music / picture / internet browsing abilities even though i heard there would be a new ds coming soon so... as a gaming console it is perfect! lots of games that means complete availability.. perfect for a kid. If you are looking for something with more conectivity go for a psp... I think it's a wonderful idea, and with so many women--young and old--sporting a DS in their purses and backpacks nowadays, I think this is a must.
