- Bought it for MacThis is a pretty good game for the Mac; it's a card game, so you get pretty much what you expect. There is a nice selection of games, so you can switch around if you get tired of one. The downside to it is some of the cornball elements like cheesy characters that want to talk and give bad one liners during game play. Fortunately you can disable that. The graphics are also a little low grade, and the dealing of the cards is a little slow for my taste in some instances, like when playing spades or poker. Otherwise, a fun game and good distraction. Rating: - hoyle card games 2008I recenly bought this software mostly for playing Bridge. I was very disappointed. The program is deficient inthe following important areas: does not provide interpretation of bidding does not give any hints for bidding if you made a mistake in playing it has no way of correcting it does not show cards of all players at the end of the game for review There is no auto play to finish last few tricks when you know the outcme certain There is no way to claim last few sure tricks The play is slow, requires double click for every action I was very disappointed. Rating: - Excellent, many-faceted game.I like the Hoyle a lot. Although I bought it for practice in bridge bidding, I'm getting sucked in to the other addictive games as well. Including (can you believe) "Go Fish". I'm not enthusiastic about the characters that make up the fellow players, but you can change them, and also turn off the sound in most instances. And the Hoyle is quite a value. Rating: - HoyleCard Gamesgot it basically to learn bridge, but unfortunately the bidding process is not accurate according to others I know that play bridge. there are many other games included which i haven't really tried... Rating: - TOTALLY COOL BICYCLE CARD GAMES IS 10 TIMES BETTER!Spades is our favorite computer game. We have used Totally Cool Bicycle Card Games for over five years. It does a good job playing the game. I bought the Hoyle thinking there might be fewer player flaws than the Bicycle version. After 2 hands and several player flaws I felt that I had wasted my money on this CD. Hopefully we'll enjoy some of the other games. Now I'm going to try to find the Bicycle CD that will work on Vista.
