- All the right stuffOf course I could not say enough about my Stebel horn, so it's the same for the wiring kit. All the right connectors make a job easier. Especially here in Korea where you can find little or nothing you're used to for projects. I had to go all over town just to find the length of wire I needed capable of carrying 20 amps for the Hyosung Rally Scooter. Rating: - Helpful, but included wires are too shortThe kit provided a reasonable start for me, but the included wires were too short, so I still ended up having to go buy more wire and connectors. You're mostly paying for the convenience of having the connectors picked out for you. If I were doing it again, I don't think I'd get the wiring kit. Rating: - mega time saverI installed this harness on an 07 RoadKing and it only took me an hour and a half most of that time was figuring how I wanted the harness to run as to hide it.Thank you Stebel Rating: - Kit is very useful.I bought the chrome Nautilus horn for my motorcycle and this kit at the same time. This kit was great for installing the horn. I have a 1980 Kawasaki KZ250. This kit will work great for any motorcycle with a basic wiring system. I wouldn't think that a motorcycle would have a complex wiring system, so this would probably be good for all bikes. All you need to have on the bike is 2 wires going to the horn, knowing the positive and negative. Then access to the positive lead on the battery, a place to put a ground wire to the frame near where you mount the horn and a place to mount the relay. The relay is small so finding a place to mount it shouldn't be a problem. The kit comes with all the wires you should need to install the horn. The only problem you might run into is the power lead from the relay to the horn, but you can either splice the wire, or run another longer wire.I was just able to get the wire to reach on my bike. It did not take that long at all to install the horn on my bike. I was pleasantly surprised. I thought that it would take longer than it did, so I was able to take my time installing it nicely. I would strongly suggest buying this kit for anyone installing the Stebel horn onto their motorcycle. Rating: - Wiring Kit and Horn ReviewI recently was almost run off the road on my Suzuki V-Strom by a driver merging onto the freeway. She was singing to a tune and never looked into the lane she was changing into, which happened to be mine. I blew my horn which had no affect at all. My factory motorcycle horn is about equivalent in volume to a person blowing their nose with a bad cold. My only option was to speed up and get in between her and the car on my left. Once I got clear I was determined to get a new horn. I received my order in only 2 days using the standard ground shipping option. That was surprising since some of the stuff from Amazon lately has taken 2 weeks to get to me. I also ordered the optional wiring kit which came in the same box. I strongly suggest you get this kit unless you have a garage full of different gauge wires and connectors. Installation, It took me 2 hours to install this horn. Black Stebel Nautilus Compact Motorcycle Air Horn - Loud First it's not small so you have to find a suitable mounting place. Forget about mounting it where the existing hockey puck size horn is. Then you have to buy or fabricate your own mounting bracket because it doesn't come with any way to attach it to the bike. The one screw it does come with is stated in the instructions as having to be torqued to 50 foot pounds. For a horn? There are no written wiring instructions with the horn, but there is with the optional wiring kit. But unless you want to be confused, don't read the instructions and instead follow the wiring diagram which is the same on both the horn and wiring kit. The outcome was good but it took a lot longer then I expected. If you are not good with electrical wiring expect to spend even more time. Bottom Line: THIS HORN IS LOUD! It does exactly what it says it does. It corrects what I believe is a major safety flaw on most bikes and some cars. Why not five starts: The written instructions are confusing. Use the diagram instead.
