Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - excellent for older machines
I bought this PCI card because I wanted to play Portal and my machine is old.

My machine specs:
Dell Dimension 2400
2.66gh processor
768mb ram
XP Pro still running SP2
normal integrated graphics card

If you're running into problems these tips might help:
Problem 1) It's not recognizing the new card at all, you need to go into your bios before windows even starts up and tell it to auto select the graphics card or set it to PCI (my machine only had auto)

Problem 2) If you're seeing that it's using the correct graphics card while loading before windows starts, but then goes blank until you plug it back into your old integrated slot, you need to go into your Control Panel > Administrative tools > Computer management > Device manager > Display adapters > then right click and disable your old one (the one that doesn't say NVIDIA.

Problem 3) You can't get the drivers cd to install because it keeps telling you the card isn't actually installed, google drivers for the card type and you'll find a link to the nvidia page. Download and install that (there'll be a bundle for all Geforce FX 5 series)

Problem 4) You've reformatted your computer and even installed the correct drivers from the website, but the color and resolution are set low and can't be raised. For some odd reason you need to still install the drivers for your integrated video card first even though you'll be disabling it again.

I hope some of these will be helpful to you as they're all problems I ran into, but now that I've got it up and running, I love it. The video out is pretty good and there isn't any lag like I was expecting from the card. I love it!

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great value dual montior card
My office went dual monitor a year ago. I found that this is the best price performance card on the market. Easy to install and very reliable. Have never had a return or failure. I am sure there are higher performance cards out there but this is very good for the money.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great product
Im 14 years old and im a pretty casual gamer all i wanted from this video card was to max out my settings on halo pc and Roller coaster tycoon 3. With this video card it works perfect the graphics are amazing! This product is well worth the money i would reccomend it to anyone! The only problem though is that on amazon it sais Shader model 3.0, well its only has Pixel shader 2.0 and vertex shader 2.0, either way this product is amazing it is very good!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Easy Upgrade
This was recommended for my Dell Dimension. Now I'm not so limited in my gaming choices.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Great card for multiple monitors or beginners
This card is great and really did beat my ATI radeon 9550. Because of the PCI slot it requires, it works on any computer and is really great for lower end computers. Put this in and you'll really bet a boost. Because of the two VGA ports, this card is great for those who are looking into multiple monitors and have several VGA monitors laying around. I originally bought two of these cards and tripple monitor at ease. For the money, I highly recomend this card for those who are still working on old integrated intel graphic.

But this graphic card is not for high end games. You can push off well with old games dating back to the first Halo or Roller Coaster Tycoon 2. But for Video editing or Image editing this is a good card. The high resolution It is capable of also helps plenty. One problem I've noticed with these cards is that they heat up a bit. If you got one of these cards a long time ago, you know that they have a fan on them. Not with these newer ones. Just do not play high graphic games on this card and the heat wont' go up. This card did work great for me on Windows Vista. Had all the flip thing and the Glass effect with tripple screen. On linux, I uses beryl at ease with this, had much better effects when from the old Radeon.

All in all, this card is deffinately worth buying for beginners in Multi Monitors and those who want to move from Integrated graphics.
