 - F is for Fun! Go, go, go for G!We bought our boys this CD/DVD combo not long after it first came out. Well, our oldest was three at the time and he didn't really get into it--I'm not sure why, but maybe it was because Mom and Dad were so excited about it. But we recently dusted it off and tossed it into the DVD player and now both boys, ages 3 and 5, are completely hooked. Not only are the tunes catchy, they're clever in a way that both kids and parents can appreciate. Anyone who has ever listened to TMBG before knows how their lyrics and music can be quirky and fun; as a long-time fan myself, I think this is probably their best album. The schtick works better here than ever before. The DVD is wonderful, too. The videos feature animation, puppets, and even a 'live' performance. Everything is colorful, lively, and well-done. The videos manage to be fun and funky without being too abstract or condescending--TMBG don't take themselves too seriously (when have they ever?) but they take their young audience very seriously. And Mom and Dad won't mind watching it the 2 or 3 or dozen times in a row the kids will demand it! I C U N U R O K! Rating: - Children's ABC VideoThis is the best ABC video for kids! Even parents of They Might Be Giant's time can appreciate what they are doing! So fun! Rating: - If you love your kid, then buy this CD/DVD !!!!They Might Be Giants are hands down the greatest children's band in the world. I was a fan in the early 90's when their only focus was on alternative rock. Many of my friends that were fans started having kids and their children really enjoyed the infectious rhythms and melodies of They Might Be Giants songs. Wouldn't you know that Disney Sound picks them up and viola! out comes some of the best educational rock music you've ever heard. You toddler or young child will love this CD and the DVD with all the videos for the songs on the album (and this is done by Disney...so you know it's fantastic!). Most of all YOU WILL LOVE this album. Forget about listening to Barney or the DoodleBops...this is REAL music that you and your kid can enjoy together. My 2 year old son LOVES to watch the videos and groove along in the back seat of the car. Both Hear Come the 1,2,3's and ABC's are FANTASTIC...five stars to both. Rating: - Catch These Catchy LyricsJohn and John craft some great lyrics revolving around the alphabet that help to arouse curiosity about the alphabet that is hard to find anywhere else. The songs are fun and upbeat and easy to enjoy. Great for car trips or just singing and dancing in the kitchen on a Saturday morning!
