- Anoushka rise CDI ordered a standard delivery, but I was charged 3 times the amount for 2 day delivery. Rating: - Wonderful music...Beautiful soul stirring soul awakening I highly recommend that you sit down and take the time to listen and enjoy. Rating: - Good choice! For the fans of this type of music, she is an absolutely delight. For the neophytes like me, this is a great introduction to the culture and music of India. Her ability to play this intricate instrument is incredible, she makes it sound so easy. A couple of songs are her father's but with a new twist and emotion. It is certainly a great CD. Rating: - Saw her live and then bought this....I can play it all dayShe is a genius and she's assembled world musicians that when combined, stretch out to a very modern sound (so not like her Dad what-so-ever.) Way lovely, mix of world music-flamenco-scat-jazz. I play it a long time, put it away and come back to it. I saw her live in Grant park in Chicago in August and watched little children all over the lawn spontaneously stand up and start to dance. I'll never forget it. Rating: - An excellent albumMy opinion of this album can be stated in one word - superb. It is an excellent example of Anoushka Shankar's work. Not only does she exhibit as much skill and ability as her father, Ravi Shankar, she has a tremendous flair for creativity, as the highly pleasing blend of Indian/Western music on this CD shows so well.
