Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Ten thousand hits -- well, maybe ten
I can't really call myself a Disturbed expert, but I decided to look into them to see why everyone was buzzing about David Draiman and the boys. I'm not really a Todd McFarlane expert either, but his cover art IS what drew me into picking up Ten Thousand Fists. And I'd have to say that the album is pretty solid.

The best songs on the album in my opinion would have to be "Deify", "I'm Alive" and, of course, the title track. And while a number of reviewers seem to think "Overburdened" makes them feel just that, the only problem I have with it is that Dave's voice doesn't even sound the same on there. And I'm not exactly sure why they decided to remake Genesis' "Land of Confusion", but it's pretty decent -- except for the bridge, that is.

There are also a couple of political songs on the album. "Avarice" is okay, but "Sacred Lie" is much better (especially with that electronic intro). The only problem there is that as anti-Bush as I am, nowadays you can't help but get that been-there-done-that feel with those kind of songs. Oh, well; Ten Thousand Fists proves that Disturbed still has what it takes to rock the stage.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Special edition totally worth it.
I bought the special edition of TTF a couple months back and I've got to say, it ROCKS!! The graphic designs are awesome and it's not a matter look at the pictures once then never again. Nearly every time I get out the CD I have to sit down and look at the art. I suppose I appreciate it even more being rather artistic myself, but really speaking I think most people would enjoy it. My favourite picture is the hooded guy on the back page with his ripped clothing and chains, I liked it so much that I've been trying to redraw it but it's pretty hard because of the type of paper it's on. Anyway, my point is, if it's just music you're after buy the normal CD, but I think the special edition is completely worth and it doesn't cost that much more than the normal CD.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Warning speacial edition is only for collectors!
Okay, i love special editions, so of obviously, i got this first day. The CD is awesome, and the art is really cool, but its not for people who just listen to the music. No special tracks, no bonus CD, only the CD and extra art.
