- Purified -- -- Cece nailed itWith the song "Purified", I can finally get a tiny tidbit of neo-soul with my praise and worship - it's a hint of class and jazz, but so surprising because it's completely unique. I can't stop playing it, (it's one of those few songs that stays in your head because of its simplicity and beauty, and at the same time reminding you of how lucky you are to know the Father). - Cece, girl, you nailed this one! Please consider crafting more impactful pieces like "Purified" Rating: - Ce Ce Winans CDThere are only 3 songs that really stand out. I will buy no more CD's of any artist. It makes more sense economically and space wise to have an MP3 player and download only songs that you like. Overall, her songs have nice relaxing, orchestra music in all except one song. Rating: - Great!CeCe is an awesome singer! Prophetess Juanita Bynum is good too! If you like CeCe you probably will not like the Crabb family (frequently seen on TBN praise-a-thons)I personally do not care for the Crabb family since they sing badly, have little talent, and their vocals are mushy & pitchy. Buy CeCe before you buy the Crabb family. She's 100 times better. I would not support the Crabb family as that to me it seems they are a couple of kids who found a way to make a fast buck by using the Christian audience to support their lavish lifestyle! Support CeCe not the Crabb family! Rating: - CeCe Winans- Purify Us All!I know I just wrote a review for Kirk Franklin's Hero, but the first gospel album I bought before that was actually CeCe Winans' Purified. I had come to the point that I really needed musically something to reach my spirit as overall I'm not getting it from just our everyday played mainstream music. Especially since I'm going to church on the regular now and totally enjoy when our singers put it down, I have been looking back to listening to more gospel music. Sure, I still listen to some mainstream music with it's crazy ways at time (I'm not changed totally, but I am in the process of changing), but it turns me away from it more than it turns me on to it. Maybe it's the good Lord speaking to me. I don't know, but back to the topic at hand. I was so glad that CeCe was the first album that connected to me. I put it into my Discman one night and just loved it from the very start. It is just so calming to listen to her music, it's like anything that you go through at the point is totally lost for awhile as you listen to her lovely voice. As someone said before I wrote mine, the album is very soul-soothing! Momma's Kitchen is one of my favorites as we all can relate to the song, at least virtually most of us with those good memories of growing up and being together with family and sharing those good times and wanting to go back to that. So beautiful! You Will is just as lovely, but Pray takes the cake for me. This was the song that prompted me to buy her CD as I heard it on the Celebration of Gospel on BET. So great of a concept and I totally love the beat and feel of the song! Something we all can take from when times get rough and to just speak to God through prayer and just talking to him. All I Need and Just Like That keep the theme of great songs rolling along, all the way through I Promise (The Wedding Song) up to the last three: A Place Like This, Purified, and He's Concerned. Such a beautiful woman with a lovely voice singing some wonderful music that can take some of your pain away. This is an album to buy if you are looking to get back into gospel or just want great gospel music. Thanks, CeCe! 5 stars! Rating: - You Can't Fail With CeCe.For a true Christian Spirit that glows through Ms. Winans, you'll always find her music sung straight from the heart. A Precious Pearl in the Gospel community, "Purified" continues in the CeCe tradition, of lifting our souls to a higher plain.
