 - Excellent printerAbsolutely beautiful prints! Ink is a bit expensive but there are ways around that. I like being able to print in large sizes with such clarity and accuracy. I've always liked Epson printers; I just wish they'd make a removable print head for easier cleaning. If the print head becomes clogged; that's it! I'd suggest printing a least once every other day to keep it up to snuff. Rating: - uses up ink quicklyIts ok, but I was expecting higher quality for the price. My biggest complaint is how quickly I have to replace the ink. If I had known it would have used so much ink I might have considered a different printer. I only print photos on this r2400printer and purchased an additional $100 printer for any other printing needs to try to save costs on the Epson ink. Surprisingly the prints from the $100 printer look nearly as good as the r2400. But the r2400 is supposed to have archival inks- that is a big plus. Rating:  - Epson Stylus R2400 PrinterI am a retired Graphic Arts teacher, who has used many printers, I selected the R2400, after careful research. The quality of the K3 ink technology was the deciding issue for me as well as cost of supplies. A second major reason for my choice was the outstanding black & white photo quality-none better! Outstanding quality of prints, ease of operation, and cost of consumables moved me to buy Epson rather that HP, which I have used for years! Rating: - Great PrinterI happened to get this right when it came out, and the price was better than any of the professional photo gear places. This printer outperforms the 2200 I use at work (and the 1280 I used to have) in every category. Start-up, ergonomics and print quality. I've had no problems with banding or clipping, as the gamut is quite wide for a device at this price point. Printing digital B&Ws is a particularly rewarding experience with this printer. All you need to do is find the paper that fits your look / style of photography, profile it, and away you go. It's not an exaggeration to say this puts out gallery quality prints. Highly recommended.
