Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best game
I have nothing to say. This game is just great with great game and graphics.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The best NBA Live ever
This Game has The best graphics. The new features are amazing the teams are updated.Carmelo Anthony deserves to be on the cover. the all star weekend dunking contest is crazy the dunk are official. The music is way better. They have the eastern, western andinternationalteams.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Hmmmmmmmm
Reading other peoples reviews I seem to have a different outlook on this. I find the graphics fine. Then again the last game i purchased NBA wise was NBA Live 1998 for the pc. The main malfunction of this game is the speed of the game. Example being a rebound, and within a second the player in posession is already setting up the next play. the controls could be greatly improved along with the create a player function. 50/100. not worth paying too much for this but is an entertaining game.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - This game sucks even though I rank top 100 online
Even though I am one of the top 100 online (and I have been US national #1 online for a short while, not kidding), I have pretty much quitted this game. Why? This game sucks. Why? Go online to see for yourself. What about online?

1) Everybody shoots 3 points and easily scores with defender's hands on player's face, almost every time.
2) Everybody dunks and there is virtually no jump shot from within 3-point arc.
3) Everybody blocks shots like piece of cake. It's so ridiculous you can have Yao, Shaq and Duncan block 10 times or more in a game.
4) Everybody lets the computer play the defense.

Conclusion: Is this a basketball game? I guess not. You can just treat every game as a 3-point shootout contest, a dunk contest, a shot-blocking race, or whatever you like. You can also simply just let the computer play for you rather than you play the computer. This is just sad. I am playing ESPN NBA 2K5 instead, which looks more like a basketball game to me.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Read This
So far, I have bought every nba live game since 1998. Having been playing NBA Live 2004 for a long time, '05 was a real change in many aspects. First off, the graphics and gameplay are not better, not worse, not the same, but just plane different. It takes time to adapt to all the features of this game including graphics, etc.
If you want my real detailed info, here are all the stuff that really impressed me.
The graphics are really good, the game seems real, the All-Star Weekend (probably the greatest feature in the game) enables you to play in the dunk contest, three point shootout (like the good old NBA Live 1999), Rookie Challenge and East vs. West. Perhaps one of the greatest improvements were the fans. They cheer for a lot longer and get up on their feet. Plus, in all the other NBA Lives, every 5 fans out of 15 would be wearing the same thing. In this new and improved NBA game, Everyone is wearing different clothing. The only bad thing is the Dunking in a normal game. It is really really easy to dunk and, although the dunks are awesome yet unrealistic, on the defensive ends, it is literally impossible to stop a dunk.
All in all, this game has better features to offer than the other NBA Lives. Although it is quite difficult to adapt during the first 5 times you play it, it gets better and better and you soon find yourself in love with this game. Great improvement, EA Games!
