Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Good modern style bluegrass.
If you like bluegrass this a "good" album. If you dont know bluegrass this a great album. I like it. I would encourage any music lover to listen to it. The best song is number 11, " Wagon Wheel"....it is not an original.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Wow -- See Them Live!!
The Cd is great. But like all of the best bands in all pop genres, the disc dos not fully capture the spirit of a live show. These guys remind me of the Grateful Dead - "There is nothing like an OCMS concert!!!" (Apologies to my deadhead friends.)

We caught them at a Thursday night bluegrass show at the Ryman Auditorium while on a cross country road trip and were blown away. The excitement they generated had the old church of Hee Haw rock and rolling.

Anyone who is into good acoustic music needs to buy the disc and see these boys live.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Best bluegrass ever
One of my favorite cd's of all time!!! I can listen to #11 over and over!!

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Old Crow Medicine Show
I can't say enough good about this group. They have a unique sound that seems to resonate with old-time flavor- both the vocal and the instrumental. These guys are good- give them a listen.

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - The Monkees reunite, form stringband
And they can almost play those things now.
Ok, they're kinda fun, it's true. But like Gillian Welch to Hazel Dickens, it's more mimicry than music.
And also like Welch, for all the careful posing, there's a certain sterility to the whole package.
Carefully off-key just enough in the appropriate places.
It wears a little thin and feels a little hollow in the end.
Almost all the right poses, just lacking a little genuine soul.
Hey, maybe Will Oldham's got a little left over in an old fruit jar he can sell 'em.
