- Amazing book for intro to ElectromagneticsI work as a digital hardware design engineer. This book does an excellent job of explaining how different components (R,L,C) work at high frequencies, compared to straight DC analysis. How do you know if a circuit should be modeled normally or as high-speed? This book will tell you how to properly analyze a high frequency circuit...and much more. It was a great refresher on Electric and Magnetic fields that I hadn't seen much of since college. Tons of other stuff that will apply to just about any branch of electrical engineering (digital, analog, RF, Microwave, etc). Definitely a book I would recommend to any student or professional looking to learn about Electromagnetics at a basic level without tons of theoretical math we all forget anyways. Rating: - Brilliant introduction and review...This book covers a broad swath of E&M in a way that is easily accessible to a practicing engineer (and I suspect many others). No, it won't be a reference "bible" on your shelf, but it is the perfect introduction to the uninitiated and review for the experienced. This is the kind of book one wishes existed in every field. Rating: - Comment on ConceptsElectromagnetics Explained is very well written and I'm really am enjoying it. I was educated in physics and have worked for many years as an development/process engineer in the manufacturing area (layed-off, of course!)and have lost touch with mathematical physics. Since I have always thought that my conceptual understanding of electromagnetism could be improved, I was happy to find this book. Because of the first sentence in the preface I knew that I had found the right book! The fundamental concepts are presented in a clear fashion and have given me useful insight. Rating: - Excellent BookBest one I've found to-date. Gives great introduction to EM. Rating: - Should be in everyone's RF libraryThis is an excellent practical reference for RF engineers. The book is outstanding in regards to the layout and information it gives. Whether you are new to electronics or an experienced professional needing a little review, this book is a nice addition to your library. This is a highly recommended reading
