- Ignore Bad Reviews !! It's a great read !!!One of the greatest and best written chick lit books I have ever read. Funny, witty and still full of sensitivity, it follows Leigh, Emmy and Adriana who despite having seemingly perfect relationships, all struggle against what they should or shouldn't be doing and reconciling what looks good to society and what feels right for them. Great read, highly recommended. Rating: - Very, very disappointingI truly looked forward to this, having thoroughly enjoyed The Devil Wears Prada. This was incredibly weak. I think that it had the makings of a decent story, but every single story line needed to be fleshed out, and all of the parts that were skipped from chapter to chapter should have been included. She must have been under pressure to finish it, because this could not hold a candle to her previous work. Rating: - I really wanted to like this book, but...It just never happened. I loved DWP so this was a major disappointment. The characters were shallow, annoying, and completely predictable. I don't recommend and will not rush to purchase any future titles by this author. Rating: - BOOOORING!!!I am mid-ways through the book, but I decided it's not worth my time to actualy finish it. I loved The Devil Wears Prada, but so far this one is a piece of trash. Actually, two stars is too much but I can't go back and change it. Rating: - Good Book!I'm not sure I agree with many of the other 1,2, & 3 star reviews, but it might have something to do with this being my first novel read written by Lauren Weisberger. No, I only saw the movie, "The Devil Wears Prada" - never read the book. So, I had nothing to compare "Chasing Harry Winston" to as far as her previous efforts. However, since I thoroughly enjoy mostly 'chick lit', I have to admit that I found this book completely enjoyable and addicting. I just couldn't put it down! Great read if you like 'chick lit' and enjoy reading about sex, women, juicy gossip, and secrets, then this is the book for you. It might not be Award-winning, but it is a very interesting and entertaining read.
