 - Good textbookI had to buy this book for one of my literacy graduate courses, and I really am enjoying it. I like the little asides and examples that the author uses, and the narrative format is much easier to follow and understand than "normal" or dry textbooks. The subheadings for the chapters give a fairly nice indication of what each chapter is about, and the book is organized nicely. Rating: - Amazing service!I'm a teacher and needed this book very badly. I bought the book and the used copy that I received is in perfect shape and arrived in lightening time! The book is similiar to the first edition but includes more examples of how to implement. Easy to read and very well written. Their detailed descriptions of comprehension lessons across all grade levels and with teachers from many places help us see the universal truth of these core comprehension strategies. These powerful strategies are not just about reading, but are ways of thinking deeply that can impact learning in any content area in every school across our country and our world. Every person who looks to our children as the future should read this book.
