Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fantastic
One of the best vampire books that I have read (and I have read a few!)

I did not want to put it down.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Fast Delivery
I ordered the "Twilight" series books and I must say, they came to me in record speed!!! Great condition..everything Amazon said they were. Now I just can't wait to read them!
Will buy from you again.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - My Second Vampire Book Ever...
I don't read vampire books, at least that is what I said before I read Twilight. After that, I couldn't wait for New Moon to arrive in the mail! This one is not so much a vampire story, but the story of lost love. Sure, to some it may seam overdone, and Bella's reactions during her time with Jacob seem out of character. But losing someone that is a part of you makes you do things that you never would have done before. I thought the author captured the loss of love and the feelings very well. If Eclipse is as good as the first two books, I might have to admit that I like vampire books!

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - Parental Discretion is Advised
So, this was my favorite book of the series. Edward isn't in it much. Coincidence? You decide.

I'll put up a warning for possible spoilers here, because I don't want to stop my train of thought later if I want to acknowledge something specific that happens in the book. So.. be warned.

Like with Twilight, I'm still not sure if this is appropriate for teenage girls. No matter how much Bella and the author try to convince Edward and the readers that Bella isn't trying to commit suicide with her reckless behavior, I don't think I buy it. At best, she's practicing a form of self-injury throughout the majority of the story. How many times does she end up in the hospital from crashing her motorcycle? And who seriously doesn't consider the possibility of DROWNING before jumping of a mega-high cliff and into a lake or river or whatever it was?

Despite that, and the fact that Bella basically loses her mind when her boyfriend of less than a year goes away, the book was an okay read. I'm not in the target age group for this series (I'm 27), so I'm trying to be fair and think of how I would have liked this book when I was 14. And I think I would have found them very fun and romantic (oh, the naivity!). But I do think that parents should make sure to read this for themselves, before giving it to their daughters/sons for Christmas. Just so that you can at least be sure to discuss some of the more adult themes with them first.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Maybe I'm too Cynical...
I am 22 years old, and maybe too cynical to be reading YA books. This book was way too dramatic, and generally lame for me to really get into it. I was interested in Jacob and Bella's relationship because it seemed more genuine than the "romeo and Juliet" typed relationship she has with Edward. Still, I find myself asking if being seventeen forever is a bit icky. I mean after a hundred years, wouldn't Edward be like a man trapped in a teenager's body, dating a teenage girl? I don't know. I liked Christopher Pike and LJ Smith when I was reading YA fiction, and feel that they are much better writers than Meyer.
