But the album is nothing more than a compilation of the different facets of Mayer, whose performance is divided into his three major stages. In the first part, he sings with the sole accompaniment of his acoustic guitar. Then he moves to a more jazz- and blues-inclined trio format (guitar, bass, and drums). Finally, Mayer joins his entire band with a rock sound. The truth is that the musician did not make the least effort to come up with new arrangements for his songs. Live or studio, John Mayer's music is good stuff. This recording is beautifully mastered. You get live quality without the hiss of the audience. Plus, this is a pretty good deal, two disks for a little more than the price of one.

FANTASTIC! The acoustic set is my very favorite. Not only does John Mayer have a great voice, but he is an extremely talented guitarist. I think that this CD is a great example of who/what John Mayer really, truly is.

A great cd, shows how good he's with the guitar, the cd starts with a NEON acouistic version (simply amazing). I'm a heavy metal fan, but Jhon Mayer is one of the greatest guitar players alive. A must have cd for every R&B lover
