Using this in conjunction with a screen protector, will do just that. It doesn't offer any protection, you should understand that before purchasing, as I did. But, it does protect the back, and most importantly, gives a nice grip for holding the phone to avoid drops in the first place. I would rate the product as about average because of it's price. ... I have lost faith in amazon now and am not sure if I'll ever purchase from them again.
