The first number also seemed an attempt to prove the show had some somber edge. The first listen-thru sounded vaguely anti-war. But the voices and the harmonies grew on me, as did their personalities. What sounded anti-war was actually anti-Irish-infighting and pro-Irish-unity. Great sound, interesting lyrics in spots.
