I dug a hole large enough for a 5 gallon paint bucket, drilled a few holes in the bottom of the bucket, added a little gravel, and poured in a bag of cement. You may need a helper to hold the green plastic base upright while the cement is being poured. We got the "quick set" kind, so within 30 minutes it had set up.
