Recently I added a computer to my setup and needed a more color and luminence accurate monitor. Being a Viewsonic fan and very satisfied with my previous VP930b LCD monitor I picked VP2250 to add to new computer. I was looking for a monitor with better color reproduction and as VP2250 can produce Adobe colors I bought it. It was a mistake. I couldn't calibrate it using i1Display2 to get complete dark and ... Read More Rating: - Very good monitor for video and photo editingThis monitor has excellent color resolution, brightness, consistency across the entire screen and refresh rates. Very good for doing video and photo work/ upper end graphics. It also has a built in USB hub for 4 devices. The one major weakness (and why it gets 4 instead of 5 stars) is its lack of support for HDMI, a format which will probably be more widely adapted in upper end video and photo work). Rating:  - Poor brightness consistency across LCD panelThe brightness at the top of the panel was much darker than the lower part of the panel. Kind of like a gradient from top to bottom. ViewSonic replaced it with another, but it suffered the same problem. I returned both monitors. I had a 17" before and this one seems so large. My pictures look great and they print out the same color. What else could I ask for. Very simple to set up. I haven't used all the fancy stuff like TV & all but I hope to. I do recommend it for photography........
