Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Developed by Kuju Entertainment, Rail Simulator is the ultimate experience for train enthusiasts and gamers alike, allowing players to take the controls of historic and contemporary trains on more than 1,000 miles of real-life routes from around the world. New to the North American release is the highly popular Barstow to San Bernardino route alongside all-new Union Pacific locomotives and rolling stock. Rail Simulator puts players in control of every aspect of the train's operation and even gives players a track editor to create their own routes and share them with other gamers online. Varying difficulty levels, from Easy to Full Simulation, tailor the game to players of all skill levels. ESRB Rated E for Everyone

Rating: 3 out of 5 stars - All Aboard
Are you ready to see america the right way. Then see america the way she was meant to be seen, while riding the rails that tie our country together. ALL ABOARD, this train is bound for glory land.

Rating: 1 out of 5 stars - Memory hog, no fun

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Oh so realistic
I have a passion for trains. I love playing this game because it is so realistic. I can run so many different trains and chose engines and cars and layout and scenery. It has great graphics.

Rating: 2 out of 5 stars - Scenario's Lacking
After reading some of the positive reviews, I just had to write. While I think the overall mechanics of the game are sound, I got board with this game. There are only 2 or 3 scenarios where you're doing any switching. Otherwise, you're taking a load from point A to point B. The big excitement? Watching your speed.

This would have been a great game had it included more scenarios with switching operations. I don't have the time nor do I want to learn how to be a developer and write ... Read More
