The leather is soft and does not have a sheen to it. The shoes stretched nicely to my wide feet once I laced them up in an alternate way than they originally arrived. Also, this is a leather product. Give'em about a week to break in! If they don't seem to fit at first, just lace them again with a more casual type of lacing and you'll be fine. I have ...
