Editorial Review:

Amazon.com:
When Alvin Chea, David Thomas, Claude McKnight, Cedric Dent, and Joey and Mark Kibble burst onto the scene from a small Alabama college in the early '90s as the vocal group Take 6, their gospel-inspired vocals and all-embracing musical outlook blew listeners and categories away with their hip and heavenly messages of hope. With two unreleased tracks--"One and the Same," featuring the soul stirrings of CeCe Winans, and the samba-fied "The Best Stuff in the World Today Cafe"--this collection shows off the ensemble's ability to drop God's word into earthly beats. Take 6 can go from the celestial harmonies of "Mary," "A Quiet Place," and Handel's "Oh Thou That Tellest Good Tidings to Zion" (with a rejuvenated Stevie Wonder) to the South African sonorities of "Fly Away," the East Indian impressions of "Destiny," and the bop-jazz-fusion-flavored "So Much 2 Say," "U Turn," and "Setembro (Brazilian Wedding Song)." Pop-wise, "I L-O-V-E U," "Spread Love," and the Ambrosia hit "Biggest Part of Me" show off their beat-box, R&B, and adult-contemporary chops. Through Take 6, God moves--and sings--in mysterious and marvelous ways. --Eugene Holley Jr.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The best vocal group on the planet
Click here for Take 6's newest album.Feels Good The Greatest Hits is fantastic! You will never be bored listening to Take 6 and you will always be inspired. They are so jazzy and spirit filled that you can't help but smile when listening to this album. Their harmonies are so tight and they sound so good together. This group thinks outside the box and they will knock you out of your blue funk and have you singing along with them and praising God. I also highly recommend their newest album, "Feels ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Excellent CD
Great compilation of Take 6's master mind of musical ability. The Baddest Jazz Kats ever.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - The Best Stuff
Since seeing these guys perform live at the then 'North Sea - Jazz Festival' in Cape Town 2002 I became an instant fan. This album is reminiscent of that great day. The whole album is an enjoyable experience and 'hats-off' to the group for its talent, unity and deliverance. The tracks that stand out for me are 'Destiny','Mary' , 'Spread Love', 'So Much to Say','U-Turn'and 'Biggest Part of Me'- Tebza (Cape Town - South Africa)

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A Must Have
I have been a fan of Take 6 since their debut album. Although they have added instruments to some of their songs, they are still one of the best acapella groups today. I love singing along with "Fly Away" and "Best Stuff In the World Today Cafe." I wish music critics would give them more credit for their wonderful talent and focus on that instead of the fact that this is "gospel" music. What is gospel but "music for the soul?"

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - A unique and refreshing sound collected
It is unfortunate when so many artists of questionable talent are pushed into the consumer's consciousness, while those with true talent and spirit are relegated to the corner. But then again, maybe it's for the best that Take 6 has flown on the edge of the radar - this way we have their pure and soaring talent to enjoy ourselves. Blending Gospel and Jazz with a dose of Bobbie McFerrin, the group has put out consistently good albums. And here is some of the cream of them. Their range is shown from the ... Read More
