 Rating:  - Try a different productI have windows xp home edition... It seems to do what it says but whenever I put a schedule backup it constantly changes my settings particularily when I reboot. It defaults to windows xp theme, changes my wallpaper, changes my screen saver and changes my sound scheme. I try to reset my wall paper and it changes my theme. I try to change my theme and it changes my wallpaper. I try to change my sound scheme and it changes..... It's annoying... Try a different product.... Rating: - Bad Product - Horrible SupportAcronis True Image simply does not work. Mine freezes up with every backup. At lockup it uses 100 percent of the CPU capacity and requires a reboot. Many people have experienced similar problems. There have not been any updates to this program for many months. Some people in the forums claim that Acronis has abandoned this program and that there will be no updates. Do Not Buy this Program. Get one that really works. Read More Rating: - Acronis does not respond to troubles.I started with Acronis 10 on a Windows 2000 system. I checked its operation and everything (restores) worked as it should. When Version 11 came out I bought it because they said that it was more user friendly and that seemed worth the money. Unfortunately, because 10 had worked so well, I didn't test ver. 11. I had a disk crash. I put in a new disk and tried to restore from my Acronis archive on my D:\ drive. It would not function. I spent two weeks emailing Acronis ... Read More Rating: - Don't buy this garbageWanted to try an SSD for booting, so I tried cloning my C drive to another HDD, so I could then remove all the non required files and clone that to a 64GB SSD. The inital clone did not work, only created an empty partition, but never gave an error message of any kind. This was quite repeatable. I got this to work with another (better) product, so I wanted to uninstall this program. This, as it turns out, is quite a PITA. SO look elsewhere unless you enjoy wasting your time. |
