![]() Rating: - Another classic album from LB!!This is definitely a classic for any Little Brother fan. After the last release of "The Minstrel Show" and producer 9th Wonder leaving the group, not too many (including myself) expected this album to be as great as it is. Definitely pick this one up. I would say this is their strongest effort since "The Listening". Rating: - Not so goodI had very high expectations for this cd because I really liked the Mistral Show and The Listening. I really hate to say it but it is defiantly missing that "Little Brother" sound that 9th Wonder provided. Not to knock on Krysis but 9th is just as much a part of this group as Phonte and Big Pooh. The lyrics are still there but I really feel that this is not their sound and you could tell this is the worst of their albums. Rating: - little brother is my favorite group but...no buts. they came with the good stuff on this album. it's short and sweet and khyrsis kills it on the beats. 9th wonder is nice always but these new guys on the boards are just ...amazing. Pooh is stepping up his game constantly and it was a pleasure to hear him kick dope lines on this cd [more so than the other cds]. buy this cd and please don't download it. support them Rating: - Is it already time to sell out?Little Brother is an amazing group; they have been one of the biggest saving graces of hip-hop. I would give this 4, maybe even 5 stars. So why 3 stars and calling them sell outs? Lil Wayne?? No talent, period. And they bought into the ridiculous notion Wayne's been tryign to sell that he has some sort of lyrical skill... he doesn't. Unfortunately this taints the album in a big way for me. Sadly the track he's on, "Breakin My Heart" is produced well as always, but Wayne's appearence is just such ... Read More Rating: - No 9th? No Problem.I was late to jump on the Little Brother wagon. I started listening to LB when "The Minstrel Show" dropped, and I have yet to check out "The Listening" or "Chitlin Circuit 1.5". However, that's all the better when it comes to reviewing their latest, "Getback," for it'll be a near unbiased review that won't be tainted by the quality of their earlier material. I have to say that I enjoyed "The Minstrel Show", as it seemed that LB knew how to make quality Hip-Hop music that added a little comedy to ... Read More |
