![]() Rating: - Great Graphics Card... will be buying another oneI bought this graphics card a few months ago... one of the determining factors was that I could get drivers for Windows 2000. I am very pleased with the graphics quality and refresh rate. I just acquired another computer and will be running Windows 2000 on it as well, so I will be buying another of these graphics cards. I was that pleased with the first one. Rating: - Keeps the status quoMy video card of 4 years went out, causing vertical bars to appear constantly on my screen. I purchased this card to maintain the status quo and keep my old equipment running for a few more years, and all is well so far on that front. Before installing, make sure to remove drivers from your previous card from your computer. It'll save you a headache. Rating: - This is a good AGP video card purchase for older CPUs This is a very good AGP video card for older CPUs. I have an older gateway system that I use as a Video and DVD player with limited gameplay and web surfing. Its connected to a Sharp 52" Aquos LCD. This video card works just fine. You will need at least a 400 watt power supply and an open 12v power interface. No problems so far. This vendor processed and shipped my order well within their initial estimate. I would recommend purchasing this video card if you are in the market for an AGP Video card Rating: - Works OK, but The "but" refers to the fact that whilst the computer using this card runs OK with it, it will not shutdown automatically. It requires manual intervention to press the power button after Windows XP thinks it has finished to turn off the power (the disk drives do stop). This did not happen with the previous (also nVidia) graphics card. Rating: - Among the best AGP cardsA very noticeable performance increase from my old 5700, although be warned that there are rare occasions in which some older games (~2001) can actually slow down slightly. Works with as little as a 350 watt PSU. |
