 Rating:  - Great, until the hinge brokeThe picture quality of this camera is quite good. The little fun effects are neat, too. The webcam is easy to setup and install. However, sometimes it asks me to put in the Microsoft webcam CD to use certain features, even though I've already done that, twice. I don't like the mechanism that it uses to "clip" onto notebooks though - it's not sturdy and after a few months use, the clip has broken. I havent had a web camera for about 5 years and this camera is only mildly better than that one. Videos are ok, a little choppy so if you plan on moving...beware. the sound is excellent though. The pictures are grainy and dont compare to cameras in laptops like Mac. You pretty much have to be right next to a window mid day to get a good picture without it looking cheap. Rating: - Pretty handy little cammyI downloaded Windows Live Messenger as was recommended. It took forever to download but since then I haven't had any problems with it. The web cam is easy to use and the picture and microphone are good. The only disappointing feature is that the clip to my laptop isn't as good as I thought it would be. The camera itself does its job... its not a super high quality image but for the price you shouldn't be expecting that. This camera is perfect for me because I use it to talk to my friends (who are away at different colleges) and to my cousins who are studying abroad. If you want a good webcam for a good price, get this one. |
