I like not having to switch lenses while on vacation. It isn't too heavy either compared to some of the professional models. I use it with my D40x and the pictures come out beautiful! Perfect for traveling or just impromptu shoots in the field. Its not the fastest glass you can buy, but it does sink nicely into a compact day pack and can be easily tucked into a coat in case of a surprise shower.
