Rating:  - HP DVD LightscribeInstalled easy enough; works great; haven't had any problems yet. Very Fast recording time and CD look great with the Lightscribe. Learned the hard way that labels destroy the CD's; will never use labels again with the unit. Rating: - Works great!Drive installed effortlessly and all functions worked as advertised. Single and dual-layer DVDs burned fast and flawlessly. Used Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden and Memorex brands without incident. Lightscribe labeling also works great. Unbelievable functionality for the price! Rating: - HP DVD Burner with LightscribeI purchased this HP DVD Burner with Lightscribe to replace an old DVD burner which died. I purchased it because of the HP brand name. The unit which is an IDE connection was easy to install and works well. The lightscribe capability is great, although it only currently prints in black and white only. The Neuro 7 program is huge and a bit cumbersome so I purchased another lightscribe program to use. Rating:  - ph dvd1040iI bought ph dvd1040i because of the name and price. It started to stop recording in the middle of the session and spoiled numerous amount of discs hoping and praying for the next recording to finish. Don't ever think of buying HP recording drive. |
