Amazon.com Review:
Ideal for the chemically sensitive or those with small children, the Bissell Steam Mop deep-cleans hard-surface floors using the power of pure water alone. No harsh (or expensive) cleaners means no fumes or residues to irritate lungs or muddy delicate finishes, while the use of hot steam rather than buckets of water leaves floors dry in just seconds. Heated and ready to use in 30 seconds, the remarkably quiet mechanism works something like an iron: steam is dispensed on demand, rather than continuously, by pressing the trigger while passing the mop over the floor. Hot steam easily removes hardened and sticky gunk, especially if the mop sits over the mess for a few seconds. (Leave it in place 15 seconds to actually sanitize the cleaning surface.) The machine steams for approximately 15 minutes before the tank needs to be refilled, but there's no lag once you refill it.

The Steam Mop's low-profile 360-degree swiveling head accesses hard-to-reach nooks and crannies, like under kitchen cabinets, while its compact profile stores easily in small spaces. Other thoughtful design touches include a quick-release cord wrap and easy-carry handle, as well as a built-in water filter to protect from the minerals and impurities in hard water. (An indicator lets users know when the filter need to be replaced.) Durable, reusable microfiber pads are safe on all sealed hard surfaces and clean up nicely in the washing machine, making them more environmentally friendly than disposable options. Measuring 6 by 11 by 45-1/2 inches, the Bissell Steam Mop weighs less than 7 pounds and is covered by a one-year limited warranty.--Mary Park

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Better than the original Bissell 1867
Originally I had the Bissell 1867 white steam mop but when we moved to Florida I gave it to my daughter since she had lots of Prego in her house. It was a big mistake. I thought since my kitchen floor was smaller now it would be easier to take care of. No way. On 10/6/08 I ordered the "Green Tea" Model 1867-7. Received it today and used it immediately. Wow, what a difference. The mop head on the green one is smaller then the white one but it swivels. I also found that pushing it wasn't as ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Works Great even got dried paint off the floor
This mop works great. I have had it for a little over a year and finally really put it to the test this weekend. My wife had me clean the hall floors after the contractors left. They had left a few paint spots that had dried on the hard wood floors. There was also some small and one large spot from dropping Great Stuff (expanding foam). You don't know how hard that stuff is to get off anything till you used it. The paint and the smaller expanding foam spots came off. The larger spot shrunk ... Read More

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Beats the Shark model
I purchased this when the Shark brand, shown on TV quit working. This beats the Shark all ways around.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - I Like it
I just got the Bissell steam mop and used it on my white tile floor. The main reason that I wanted to try the steam mop is I have 2 cats a dog and a cockatoo. The odors from fragrances/perfumes in household cleaners can be deadly to a bird. So whenever I moped the floor the bird would have to go outside until the floor dried. I had been using a sponge mop. The amount of tile floor I have consists of, laundry room, a hallway past 2 rooms, a foyer, a large dinning room, and a kitchen. The construction ... Read More
