 Rating:  - Old Socket 754's Never Die.......Just Overclock 'em!!My #2 computer runs this CPU. The ECS nForce3-A motherboard it's mounted on allows me to overclock it from 2.2GHz to 2.75GHz. Of course that requires OCZ's top of the line CL2.5 DDR400 RAM (2 x 1GB). For old tech it is very fast, but it's obviously no match for modern hardware. Like the other post stated, it's a big step up from a Sempron and well worth the money. Rating:  - new life for an old dogIf you have an OLD AMD processor such as a Sempron that's socket 754 and want to speed things up a little than this Athlon 64 is a cheap way to go. Probably it's the ONLY cheap way to upgrade a 754 based unit because memory upgrades are very expensive because the memories are obsolete and not readily available.
