![]() Rating: - Dated, and too shortI'm going to fully explain why this title deserves what i've given it, a 2 star. First of all, i'm not a fledgeling roller, i've played and beaten the previous two katamari games on the playstation. and i have to say this one simply does not do them justice. -the game gets a star for the menus, and ease of play, the game is directed in a different manner than most hardcore games while maintaining a nose to the grindstone type of play. - it also gets a star for replay ... It's pretty much the same as the other Katamaris but I think it may actually be just a little bit harder to accomplish the goals. They ask you to roll up katamaris but ask for certain kinds of items and sometimes your katamari is really big but you get a poor score because you did not collect enough of what they asked for. Also, they added MORE cousins! There is a new soundtrack but I didn't feel it was as good as previous ones. Overall, if you truly love Katamari, ... Had to use the manual to try to figure out where we wanted to go (multi-player). When we accidentally "flew" off course we couldn't find our way back to the planet and had to restart the game to get our footing. Sounds like it wasn't great and it wasn't. BUT, once we actually got to start playing it was fun. Still trying to figure out the pool table action but it's still cool. Rating: - overlooked Katamari title on your favorite next-gen consoleBeautiful Katamari is the only Katamari title available for next-gen consoles and luckily (for me at least) it's exclusively on the 360. Graphics are HD sensory overload in the most wonderful, cohesive way you can possible imagine. Lots of cultural winks for those of us obsessed with Japan or familiar with their popular culture. Level design is dope with plenty of places to explore and keep coming back for more~! Its all-new soundtrack is worth the admission price alone. ... First off you will be able to enjoy a game that is unique and addictive. In the process you will be gaining points for your gamerscore, if you care about things like that. Overall it is very entertaining and easy to get into. You will find that the premise of rolling the ball around is much more fun than you think. Adding to the experience are the characters, ...
