My first thought was that the screen was pixelly and so that made me think my photos wouldnt be that good. But my photos turn out great. A few other things I noticed was the view finder is just a small screen inside the camera that duesn't help very much. But two days in of having it I start really liking it. I looked at the Fuji S1000, it is a 10mp where the S700 is a 7mp and there is no comparison. The S1000 has a lag with the shutter speed and it does not have an extended viewfinder. Having a choice of a viewfinder or a screen was important to me and since I would rather use the viewfinder, the batteries last longer.
