Granted the PI shorts have nicer padding - but the difference is really not that much - these shorts are great for my commute riding (10+ miles each way). Rating:  - Good Price!I have never worn bike shorts before so I didn't know what to expect and because I don't ride evey single day, I didn't see the point of spending a ton of money. These shorts feel great and ride very well. They are comfortable, don't bunch up in the seat and the pad that comes with it feels great when riding. Pad is a bit stiff, but it distributes the saddle load well. I have since purchased two additional shorts from different manufacturers. In comparison, this pair is average. Nashbar shorts (about the same price point) breathe/wick moisture better, however, the chamois is less padded.
