Each girl's story is distinct and engrossing, told in a brightly contemporary style. Like the Pants, the reader bounces back and forth among the four unfolding adventures, and the melange is spiced with letters and witty quotes. Rating:  - I want some magical pants!!I have not seen the movie for this book, and didn't even know about this book until I heard that the movie came out for it. I chose not to see it and never read the book. I thought it looked dumb. But, needing something new to read, I picked this book up last week even though I was feeling a bit skeptical. I guess it's aimed at high school girls and that is why the book is as popular as it is. It's cheesy and horribly girly, but that is how it is supposed to be and why it left such a mark in my heart.
