The animation of The Ant Bully makes good use of scale as Lucas grapples with the gigantic world around him, but the writing is not so imaginative; the name actors are thrown away on bland characters and lackluster dialogue. The lessons Lucas learns are admirable (and amusingly Communist in flavor), but the way he learns them feels contrived and uncompelling. It's too bad, because there probably won't be many other movies featuring the combined talents of Meryl Streep and Bruce Campbell (Army of Darkness).  Rating:  - Amazing Hi Def Picture Quality and Sound.What a great family cartoon. This movie really shows off HD DVD's strengths. The Picture Quality and Audio Quality are phenomenal. This movie will keep you happy for many years to come. Rating: - The Ant BullyThe Ant Bully is one of the best animated movies I have seen and I am an adult. The movie is very well done and I think everyone should see. Rating:  - DisappointedI thought "Ant Bully" would be a lot like "Ants," but I was mistaken and disappointed in it. What I didn't like about it was the gratuitous rude and uncivil dialogue between the characters which I felt was in poor taste and a very poor example for kids. I would not show it to my grandkids, as they learn from movies and videos and I would not want them to emulate the attitudes expressed by the characters.
