Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Not bad, actually.
While not the blockbuster big seller like the previous two Journey albums, "Raised on Radio" was a more-than-decent record. Catchy hooks, layered vocal arrangements, and slightly less Pop.

Trivia: the album artwork is by Prairie Prince, the ORIGINAL drummer for Journey. Prairie is a renowned artist who has done a multitude of album covers, murals, corporate-funded artwork, etc. He also left Journey to devote his drumming skills to The Tubes. Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - Almost a Masterpiece!
I enjoy all of Journey's albums but this one from 1986 has always been my favorite cuz it's almost perfect from beginning to end & is the one I always keep coming back to. If this album has any flaws it is only the last studio cut which is a good track but not quite as memorable as the earlier ones. But all in all, this album is superb pop/rock craftsmanship & it contains 3 of their biggest hits - "Girl Can't Help It", "I'll Be Alright Without You" & "Be Good to Yourself" and IMHO, they are all classics. ... Love this album! There are no finer tunes to belt out or dance to from Journey. I am a true Journey fan, but this one couldn't be happier...

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Journey....We Have A Problem
Even though this re-release sounds better than previous ones, at the beginning of the first song, "Girl Can't Help It", a split second of the very first drum beat is missing. Overall, the CD is excellent especially with the added tracks. If you like your recordings of studio music to be prefect like I do in most cases, then this re-release is not for you. Find one used that was recorded from the master properly.
