![]() Rating: - love it, mostlyI have had this keyboard for a few months. The good: it feels good in the hands, I like that the angle is customizable, the keys feel great, though I'm not entirely sure I couldn't get the same level of comfort from the microsoft natural I used to have. One thing this has over the natural is this is made for a mac. The bad: The control key, as someone else mentioned, is in an annoying location, and as an emacs and heavy shell user I'm constantly using the control key. ... Read More Rating: - What a cheap messI've used split keyboards before and wanted to go back since my wrists started to hurt again recently so I ordered one of these. If you are typing on this rather cheaply made keyboard, then you are fine but if you are like me and need to use modifier keys with graphics programs, then you'll hate this keyboard. They have mysteriously taken the control off of the left side and stuck a Help key in between it and option. Then they stuck a Power key above that with a numlock key kitty corner from it as ... Takes up little desk space, even less than the Apple keyboard because I can slide the top of my Wacom tablet under it a little (which I use that to relieve mouse strain in my overworked right hand). This model has all the keys I need without the numeric pad which I never ever used anyhow. I do miss the F13 key, but have selected the F1 key to take it's place. The keys are beveled ... Read More Rating: - Great product but materials are flimsyI received a GoldTouch keyboard in 2005 that was solid, sturdy and well-built. I absolutely loved it. But I just bought this new Mac-compatible version and the quality of materials has really gone down. I can see that the pin holding the adjusting bar can break from the snapping motion required to position the keyboard. I am afraid to adjust it often. I recommend this keyboard if you have pain to resolve, but otherwise, the keyboard is overpriced considering it may have to be replaced in less than a year ... Read More Rating: - Less than Stellar SupportI bought the PC version of this keyboard before the Mac version came out - and it was a mess to hook up: needed a Y connector and I had lots of trouble with the connections to it. But the real problem was the necessary keys for command, control, cut, paste, save and so forth were all over the place (outside keys, "Windows" key, and F-Keys). It was so incompatible I put it in a closet where it remained. Now that they have a Mac one, and I thought about buying it as I have carpal tunnel, but their return ... Read More |
