Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Something Borrowed tells the story of Rachel, a young attorney living and working in Manhattan. Rachel has always been the consummate good girl---until her thirtieth birthday, when her best friend, Darcy, throws her a party. That night, after too many drinks, Rachel ends up in bed with Darcy's fiancé. Although she wakes up determined to put the one-night fling behind her, Rachel is horrified to discover that she has genuine feelings for the one guy she should run from. As the September wedding date nears, Rachel knows she has to make a choice. In doing so, she discovers that the lines between right and wrong can be blurry, endings aren't always neat, and sometimes you have to risk all to win true happiness. Something Borrowed is a phenomenal debut novel that will have you laughing, crying, and calling your best friend.

Something Borrowed is one of the best chick lit books I've ever read. Emily Giffin's writing is effortless. She uses few words to paint a picture that is richly vivid. In Rachel, she created a heroine who is easy to empathize with. Giffin revealed her insight into the female psyche through her main character. Rachel does good not because she is straight and narrow by nature but because she is afraid of being caught. Rachel doesn't go for the perfect guy not because she doesn't want him but because ... Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - One of the Best Contemporary Romance I've read!!!
Emily Giffin's protagonist is someone whom every girl can relate to. I can't say enough of how much I feel for the main character! The story is fast-paced, no nonsense, and believable. Truly an enjoyable read! I couldn't put the book down until the very end, and was so sad when I finished the book, because I didn't want the story to end!!!!
