Vince Gill, Josh Turner, and Allison Krauss top the list in terms of musical craftsmanship, melodies, and lyrics. The rest are sincere, earnest, but artless, bland, and in the case of John Michael Montgomery and "The Little Girl," just plain judgmental, and offensive. "Two non-believers, lost in this world. .. daddy drank all day and mommy did drugs... " which John Michael rhymed with the "hugs" ...
