Editorial Review:

Product Description:
Sony Pictures Into the Blue (Blu-ray)
Red-hot action superstars Paul Walker and Jessica Alba heat up the screen as two sexy young divers who dream of finding hidden treasure. When they take some friends (Scott Caan and Ashley Scott) on an extreme sport adventure, the last thing they expect to see below the shark-infested waters is a legendary pirate ship rumored to contain millions of dollars in gold. But their incredible good fortune is short-lived, as a ruthless gang of deadly criminals gets word of what they have uncovered. The discovery of a lifetimecould just cost the treasure hunters their lives,in the exciting new thriller from the director ofBlue Crush.

Amazon.com:
Stunning tropical scenery and gorgeous athletic movie stars may not make a movie great, but they sure don't hurt. Jared (Paul Walker, The Fast and the Furious) dreams of finding sunken treasure and making millions, but his girlfriend Sam (Jessica Alba, Fantastic Four, Sin City) is content with their poor but idyllic life in the Bahamas. Still, when they find artifacts from a 19th century pirate ship, she gets caught up in the excitement--until they also find a crashed plane full of smuggled cocaine. Naturally, someone's going to want that cocaine back... From there, Into the Blue is a surprisingly well-plotted action movie, unpredictable in its specifics if familiar in its broader outlines. Even more pleasant, the action itself stays plausible and genuinely engaging throughout. Jared seems able to hold his breath for a preternaturally long time, but aside from that the movie is meticulous about the dangers and threats the characters face and is all the stronger for it. Add to this its unabashed ogling of Alba and Walker (both of whom are astonishing physical specimens) and you have a solid romp. Also featuring Scott Caan (Ocean's Eleven), Tyson Beckford (Biker Boyz), and Josh Brolin (Flirting With Disaster) as a slimy rival treasure hunter. --Bret Fetzer

Underwater adventure thriller starring Jessica Alba and Paul Walker as divers who discover a crashed plane filled with a lot of cocaine and also a sunken ship filled with treasure whilst diving in the Bahamas. The treasure on the sunken ship is worth millions but Alba, Walker and their lawyer friend Scott Caan cannot afford the $30,000 dollars needed to hire the salvage gear needed to retrieve the treasure from the sunken ship. Temptation comes their way when they realise that the cocaine on the ... Read More

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great Fun to watch
This movie was fun and exciting. My kids and I enjoyed it and now want to become treasure hunters. HAHA

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - More than just eye candy
I was pleasantly surprised by this one. I expected that the visuals would be great -- and they're terrific on Blu-Ray, especially the underwater sequences (and, of course, the babes in their bikinis) -- but the story was actually interesting and exciting. Scott Caan was particularly good in his role.

Rating: 5 out of 5 stars - INTO THE BLUE
An action packed movie with beautiful scenery Amust have for your video collection

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Skin, Scuba diving and sharks
Wait, before you condemn this movie and categorize it as another "babe watch" show, take another look at Walker and Alba's underwater skills and the curious grey? reef sharks. I've never swum that close to even the placid white tip. Lifting heavy objects using floatation device and transferring air from balloon mouth-to-mouth when tank is empty requires at least rescue certified skills. I would be happy enough not to disturb the bottom sand for macro look.

I think this movie would ... Read More
