Editorial Review: Product Description: The ultra-versatile PIXMA MP830 Office All-In-One delivers spectacular performance for the home and small office. It produces an amazing print resolution of up to 9600 x 2400 color dpi, for superb detail and clarity. To achieve this, Canon Full-photolithography Inkjet Nozzle Engineering (FINE) uses a next-generation 3, 584-nozzle print head that ejects precise, consistent droplets as small as 1 picoliter, for smooth, virtually grain-free images. The ContrastPLUS 5-color ink system-four dye based inks and a pigment-based black-ink-produces true-life photos along with laser-quality text. Plus, a 4" x 6" photo lab quality borderless print takes only about 36 seconds. With the large 2.5" LCD color viewer and easy control panel, you can evaluate and enhance images from your compatible memory card before printing! Or, you can print directly from your PictBridge ready digital camera or DV camcorder. With direct printing, you don't need a computer. This high-end office All-In-One does it all. The auto duplex Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) can read both sides of a 2 sided document, letting you copy or scan a 2-sided original without having to flip it over by hand! The ADF can hold 35 pages of originals at one time, making it much easier to copy, scan or fax multi-page documents. And when combined with the unit's dual paper trays, the ADF gives you the capability for high-capacity copying, even of 2 sided originals. The AE (Auto Exposure) Copy feature automatically optimizes reproduction quality based on the type of original you're duplicating. When scanning, the unit's high-resolution CCD technology enables you to produce exceptional 2400-dpi scans, with vibrant 48-bit color depth. And now, faxing: with the PIXMA MP830 Office All-In-One, you can achieve up to Super G3 fax speed in color and B&W. Plus, the expanded memory lets you store 100 speed dial codes, and receive up to 250 incoming pages. Average Rating:
![]() Rating: - Very disappointed here...I would much rather write a better review for this printer, but I simply can't. My husband who is "Mr. Consumer Reports," usually knows all about what he's wanting to buy. Since he was so kind as to buy me a new imac for Christmas, I decided I would allow him the freedom to choose our new family printer. Our old printer which I bought back in 2000 or 2001, lasted me through at least seven years of printing out hundreds of Christmas newsletters, scores of graphics for projects and photos ... Very happy with this printer.- Rating: - Don't buy this piece of crapI've owned this less than a year and I got a 6A00 error code. Contacted Canon support and followed their instructions. Error did not clear. Now Canon wants to send me a factory refurbished unit that I have to remove parts from my original unit and install in the refurbished unit. This is total BS. DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT!!!!! Rating: - Thanks Canon for a Good WorkhorseI am very pleased to be able to give a positive review to an electronic item. So many of them turn out no good regardless of price. Speaking of which this is not the least expensive multi-function printer you can buy, but it is about the best I've found and used. This is my second MP830 and when I had to buy a replacement I looked at many, read the reviews, and decided to stick with old faithful. The copy, scan and fax functions on this machine work better than the other three ... Read More Rating: - Avoid this glorified printer! When I first began using my all in one, I loved it (except for the fact I had to be careful how much ink I was using!). I even got a new computer to go along with it after a few months, and that is where the trouble began. My new HP and the Canon function ONLY as a printer. The other features do NOT work. Canon blames HP, saying it is a twain issue and something on the HP is preventing it from scanning. HP blames Canon software. After dozens of hours with tech support on both sides, neither will accept responsibility ... Read More |
