![]() Rating: - SWEET BREAKBEATSI have always been a baby anne fan but when this cd came out i almost crapped myself. there are some of the hardest basslines i have ever heard and it gets progressively better as the cd goes on. the second disc is cool but i dont know how to classify it at all. overall the cd is sweet! Rating: - Two good discs, one good marketing ployI bought this disc because I wanted to pick up something from DJ Baby Anne. The price is about the same as would be charged for a single disc from DJ Baby Anne (or any other artist) and it came with a 2nd disc from Jen Lasher. I can see why the record company would package the two discs together. If you package DJ Baby Anne with DJ Icey, then you aren't creating new customers. Icey fans already know about Baby Anne & vice versa. However, this CD gives people who normally would ... Read More Rating: - Keep Baby and Toss Jen!The Baby Anne disc is really great. I love to listen to it while working out at the gym. I think it is just as good as her "Mixtress" cd. Fans of Baby Anne will not be disappointed. I did not like the Jen disc. Most of the music sounded like bland 1980's pop music. Boring as can be. I have to give this only three stars because of the one good cd and the other bad cd. If this was a single disc of Baby Anne music this I would have given it five stars. Rating: - OK, where's Jen Lasher?I have to admit, being a guy, I bought this album because I had heard good things about DJ Baby Anne, but mostly because the cover was HOT! After putting in the first CD (The DJ Baby Anne set), I was greatful I had bought the CD. I don't usually go out on a limb and buy untried albums, but this one was not a disappointment. But when I put in the Jen Lasher set (Disk 2), I was completly in love! This set has got to be one of the best I've ever heard in the D&B/Jungle genre! She starts ... A lot of these guys will like breaks that all sound the same for awhile, but eventually (like myself a couple years ago), you want something different, fresh. Thankfully, Jen Lasher totally unexpectedly comes out of nowhere and saves this thing. The songs on Jen Lashers mix seems to have more soul, and not just "beats". Although don't get me wrong it will get you moving ... Read More |
