Its barrage of electric singles ("Para Tu Amor," "La Camisa Negra," "Nada Valgo Sin Tu Amor," "Volverte a Ver") and equally compelling album tracks ("Amame," "Damelo," "Tu Guardian") still sizzle with energy. This deluxe Mi Sangre Tour Edition, however, offers a slew of treats that are tempting enough to entice a second purchase. A quartet of in-concert tracks find the Colombian performer in fine form and offer a preview of the inevitable live Juanes album. He even does justice to the inspired "Fotografia"--minus duet partner Nelly Furtado. Black Eyed Peas member Taboo spices up an urban-tinged take on the anthemic "La Paga," and the Sonidero Nacional Remix of "La Camisa Negra" artfully plays up the song's inherent regional sound. "Lo Que Importa" is an unreleased gem originally recorded for Juanes' 2000 debut disc, Fijate Bien, and it somehow fits in nicely with this collection. The accompanying DVD includes three music videos and a short interview with Juanes. It finds him discussing the album's origins and answering a series of impromptu preference questions--Meat or vegetables? (Meat); PC or Mac? (Mac); Movies or videos? (Movies).  Rating:  - PassionateIf ever there was an artist with an uncanny ability to evoke emotion through his vocal styling, it is Juanes. Rating: - Buy this now!This limited edition is a steal! The cd is incredible - we played it 3 times through at almost full volume the first time I put it in the cd player. WOW! Rating: - Excellent As AlwaysJuanes never ceases to amaze this is a wonderful collection of songs and with the added bonus of a few videos and interview you can't go wrong. This is a must buy for any Juanes fan and I highly recommend it! Rating:  - Its really good... but not what I expected.I'm a BIG fan of Juanes so obviously I'll say that its really good. But the truth is that this is the WHOLE "Mi Sangre" CD except for the live songs that he sings (which are really good), but like somebody else said, they should have released the CD with the DVD live, COMPLETELY, not just three songs. Read More Rating: - Why Not A Totally Live CD?This limited "tour edition" is a re-issue of the "Mi Sangre" CD. If you already have the "Mi Sangre" CD, the only thing new that you'll get are seven extra songs and a DVD video. If you're a hardcore fan of Juanes, this might be a worthwhile purchase even if you already have the "Mi Sangre" CD. I think labeling this CD as the "tour edition" is misleading. There are four "live" songs on this CD which are pretty good so I can't understand why they didn't release a completely "live" ... Read More |
