 Rating:  - Superb Item!I'm in my 80's, not at all mechancally or electronically inclined, and had put off buying a scanner because I was afraid it would be too complicated. Once my grandson had connected this scanner to my computer, I was able to use it with the greatest of ease. Not only that, but it makes the clearest, most perfect copies imaginable! I'm absolutely thrilled with the LiDE 25. Rating:  - alignment's weirdMy only problem with this scanner is the alignment. I had to make a copy of my dog's vaccination form, and the scanner made a copy that I swear is even better than the original. However, it also cut off the top 1/2 inch of the form where the address of the vet was. SO I had to fiddle with it a bit, and finally figured out to sacrifice the bottom portion of the form (fine print anyway, but could be a problem later on) to get the pertinent info to come out. I am still using it regularly. It always perform as expected and it is slim and light and power directly through USB. Since it is so good, I wanted to buy a second one (one at home, one at work). But LiDE 20 is out of market so I bought the LiDE 25. The LiDE 25 Windows driver is different to LiDE 20 but there is no sweat. The price is so low. I scanned about 40 or so pictures that I used on a website. Really easy to use no problems at all. It also is small in size and saves space. I remember the first scanner I had about 10 years ago. The thing was big and bulky and it took forever to scan. It also was pretty expensive. What a long way things have come..
