![]() Rating: - Most amazing artist!Missy Higgins is one of the few artists that I would say has true talent. Her lyrics are absolutely touching and the music, needless to say, was unique and perfectly fitted into the meanings of the lyrics. Her vocals are truely amazing also. I would give this album 50 stars if I could. Rating: - DisappointedI had heard such great reviews for this artist and didn't bother to listen to any of the tracks and was disappointed in the cd. Don't know what I expected but it was a letdown. Rating: - AwesomeMissy Higgins has a lovely and mellow sound yet her music has substance. This one is well worth the purchase price. Rating: - It's distractingI expected to like this album--I heard "This Is How It Goes" on Pandora and really liked it. Unfortunately, as others have noticed, her accent becomes annoying very quickly. I realize that sounds like a petty complaint, but the fact is, it's distracting to a lot of her would-be listeners. I found it completely pulling me out of the music to contemplate why "white" sounds like "woit" and "light" sounds like "loit." I'd never advocate anyone changing their accent or anything ... Read More Rating: - Grating vocals...At first I thought it was going to be Ok but by the third track the vocals were just annoying, especially those awful "harmonies". The music itself is pretty bland. Pretty much what you'd expect if you put a bunch of studio musicians together for a couple of days to make an album. The only interesting touch was the strings (probably the only thing I really liked on this album). Everything else has been done to death before.
