The Coin Pouch has a metal squeeze bar at the top of it and at both ends of the squeeze bar there are exposed metal hinges that are held together by metal pins. Well, I thought that I could carry the Coin Pouch in my pants pocket where I carry my cell phone...without my cell phone getting scratched...and for a while I was able to do so, however, eventually my cell phone got scratched by the metal pins on the Coin Pouch. I always seem to accumulate a lot of change in my pockets which causes holes in my pants pockets. This little change purse is the perfect one for me and saves my pants pockets. I have a another squeeze-pouch that came with my sennheiser headphones. The latter version is soft leather and easy to squeeze open. The CTM version is good leather, but has a very stiff open mechanism which basically means you have to pry it open. Very secure but difficult to get into. The quality on this one should last a long time.
