 Rating:  - plug and playThis is a good, basic warm-up set. It's great having it on CD to keep me focused to get the basics done. I move on from there. Four stars are because I get slightly irritated by her singing and playing when things speed up. I wish she wouldn't sing along, nor play all the notes. I tend to turn it off and do those myself. It's good to practice with your metronome anyway, and away from the CDs so you can really hear yourself and pay attention to your pitch as well. Great for traveling. Helpful Vocal ExercisesI am a beginner, but my voice has already improved from practicing using this CD along as reading and practicing with other books such as: Singing for Dummies, Singing Coach Unlimited, free videos at expert village, etc. If you're the kind of learner who learns from books, and DVD's and CD's etc. then this is a very good choice. The major parts of the cd I disagree with however is that she gives some bad advice, and sometimes doesn't give advice at all when it's needed. She doesn't properly explain what you need to do in order to hit the higher notes in the warmups, and she also tells you on numerous occasions that you need to essentially tense up your stomach in order to hit some ... The only thing I dislike is that, when you hear it everyday, you found a little bit anoying, the comments of the teacher over the piano sound you are suppose to sing. Also sometimes she speak really fast and loud. But maybe is just my point of you after many listens. Rating: - My favorite warm-up CDI've wanted to sing for as long as I can remember, but never could afford voice lessons. I've recently invested in about 5 different vocal CDs to see if I could help myself learn a bit. Out of all the ones I purchased, this is by far my favorite and most used CD. I found the exercises to be simple, and Ariella explains everything before you attempt it. Some of the "visualizations" she gave before the exercises helped me a great deal.
