![]() Rating: - Keyboard and Mouse FunctionalityI bought the Iogear GCS632U MiniView Micro USB PLUS KVM Switch about 2 months ago. I admire the sleek and compact design. I am using Microsoft Windows Vista (and Ubuntu Linux) on one machine and Windows XP on the other. While I turn on the machines, the boot process displays "Keyboard Failure." I really don't know why it does that and it happens even if the other machine is turned off. I don't have problems with the keyboard, though. One thing I noticed was the varied response of the switching ... I put it in place half a year ago, and it's done nothing but work. I am especially pleased that the key used to toggle between systems can be changed. Belkin is committed to using Scroll Lock-which doesn't even get included on some keyboards. Rating: - Avoid This Piece Of GarbageI'll admit that I didn't fully research this product, or else I would have avoided it. As with many many people who left reviews here, the keyboard function basically just stops working for no reason. The only way to get it working again is to reboot both computers, and then you are lucky to get it connected for more than 5 minutes. There should be a class action suit against Iogear for knowingly putting out this garbage. Rating: - IOGEAR KVM -Simple, easy, works greatI've only had the IOGEAR GCS632U for a few weeks, but this unit worked great right out of the box. A buddy of mine has used one at work for several months and has had no problems. Great KVM unit for the price. Rating: - IOGEAR Micro USB PLUS KVM with audio and cablesI have a Dell 8300 dimension desktop computer with dual 19 inch monitors running windows XP home edition and a Dell laptop XPS 1500 running Windows Vista. My laptop is used mostly for acedemic purposes but when I am at home I love the convenience of plugging up to the IOGEAR and a simple double tap of the scroll lock button to switch my laptop to one of the dual screens on my desktop. The sweet thing is all of this was just plug and play. There was absolutely nothing special done to configurating its ... Read More |
