Editorial Review:

Product Description:
A good barlow needs good optics, but good optics alone aren' t enough. Unlike many barlows, ours are internally baffled, rather than simply painted black inside, to block transmission of off-axis light. This baffling results in noticeably higher contrast when observing faint objects that are near bright stars or other sources of glare. It also helps reduce glare during daytime terrestrial observation. The Deluxe 2x Barlow has a multi-coated, two-element achromatic lens which doubles the power of any eyepiece. Black-anodized aluminum body with eyepiece setscrew. Made in Japan.

Rating: 4 out of 5 stars - Great, with a few kinks.
This is a seriously cool lense, it comes fast, and works like a dream, mostly. If you use a too small a focal length lense with it, it gets kind of fuzzy. The view of the Andromeda Galaxy with this thing is breath-taking. My advice is to wait a bit if you're a begginer astronomer, so you can get a better feel for the sky and so your eye is more trained before you get this. All in all pretty good except for the fuzzy images. A reccomendation for anyone with a telescope.

Happy viewing!
